New to the forum so thought I would post a link to my Road bike frame build. I am contemplating my next frame but thinking of which way to go? Hard Tail or Dual Suspension? Adjustable length swing arm (possibly 3"). 29 or 26?

Will definitely try a mould process rather than wrap around foam for the next frame.

Lots of photos to look at.
Enjoy

Never ridden any other carbon bike before but is very stiff compared to my older bikes (track bike with Columbus SLX tubing and Klien MTB). Stiffness factor is pretty high as I used a structural type of foam that I can' dissolve. Adds about 500g to the weight of the bike but for my first go, doesn't concern me.

I think you'll find, that pretty much any type of foam, will not add anything significant to the stiffness, of a frame like yours.
The place where I find foam cores to make a difference, is relatively big square down tubes, especially regarding the noise level on a MTB.

Beautiful bike! Something tells me this wasn't your first excursion into carbon fiber fabrication. :D

Oh, and welcome to the forums! ;)

This was definitely my first structural item. I'd only ever made cosmetic type parts for my motorbikes (heel plates, chain guards etc). I have since made a gimbal head for my 600mm lens which pretty much followed the same layup process.

Still designing my mtb frame at the moment......or rather just surfing the net for all the great ideas out there. I'll try and combine the best of all the things I like and see what I come up with.
