Fox recommends a flat (chamferless) 26mm socket when servicing their forks. The lip around the top of the TALAS and RLC cartridge is very short and apparently prone to rounding-off if you use a standard 12 point chamfered socket.
I don't have one of these special sockets. But, I have a grinder and a will to succeed.

I purchased a chamfered 6 point 26mm socket from the auto parts store for about $7.

Mounted it on an extension and fired up the grinder. Holding the extension, I let the end of the socket rest upon the edge of the housing and the work platform. I slowly spun the socket while feeding it into the side of the grinding wheel. I would grind for 30-45 seconds and then stop to check. After a couple of minutes, I had this.

Here is the finished result.
