Just started today. Someone built a jump, and the jump connects with a fire road, so me and my friend plan to build a Boner log (or maybe just a gap) that goes across the fire road after the jump, instead of just connecting with the fire road, although the option to connect to the fire road is still there. We haven't built the boner log yet, but we built a landing, and then a berm. we are turning the berm into a small little "shark fin" or berm jump. There's a nice slope after the berm to act as a landing. So here's what we built. took about an hour is all.

The second picture makes the berm look really bad. I'm probably headed back out tomorrow to smooth the berm out, but the landing part is super smooth.

The goal of this trail is to have a fun, smooth, fast, flowy trail that you can rally on any bike (as long as you know how to do small jumps and drops). We will build some big features, but always have a small option, although no go-arounds. We thought starting the trail with a boner log (about 4 feet drop, and about a 6 foot gap) would be a good way to show what you will encounter on the trail. We will be connecting to a old step down to step up someone built in 2010, that has since been overgrown with vegetation. Its a decent sized step down, to a big step up. On the side I will be building a smaller step down to step up, but it will still be solid gaps, just smaller.

I want to be able to ride this on my new bike (the 7" one I'm going to buy soon), and be able to hit certain features, then ride it on my hardtail, and hit a whole different set of features. The small options will be a fun, smooth, easier way around all features that someone could hit on a fully rigid dirt jumper/BMX. My bud out there is a beginner, so he will help me know what is too big/too small for people of his caliber. He has hit medium sized dirt jumps, but nothing "big" yet. I'm gearing this trial to people like him and better. I'm shooting for something like a blue square (difficulty) trail with the easy option, but with features up to a double black. I'll keep you guys posted. Should be out every weekend.

Finished the berm in the old pics, and added a small lip that send you over a 8 foot gap with about 3 foot vertical drop. The landing is bermed nicely, then theres a roller that you can jump into the next berm. After the next berm we build a nice lip that will shoot you 20 feet to a natural landing. Going for quality over speed when it comes to building this trail. Super stoked to ride it. Heres some pictures for ya'll.
