Here are a couple links to help aid you learn how to properly ride a MTB. While some videos are geared more towards All-mountain and downhill each video and the links with in them will help you learn, conquer any fears, and ride properly.

First up is a basic video going over everything in a simple format.

Next up is a video geared more towards All-mountain and trail.

_____________________________________________________________

Last of the videos is for the down-hill enthusiast. Even this video has lots of useful tips to help with all spectrum's of riding. This is a very detailed video by the way, going past just simple instructions.

As far as other links, one that I will suggest you going to is http://www.youtube.com/user/IMBIKEMAG/videos?view=0 Within their page there are many videos going over basic technical skills. Still very useful for anyone and more towards cross-country riding.

For reading, I suggest picking up Mastering Mountain Bike Skills - 2nd Edition by "Brian Lopes" and "Lee McCormack".

Another reason for posting links and videos sometimes covering the same thing on some of the tips is because some have a different style or way of going over the tip. This way you can find that type of style that suits/helps you the most. It's always better to take in as much information with "How to's" because there is always multiple ways to go over or cover a certain topic.

There hasn't been anything useful to upload since I started this one and the other one back on EB. Wish there was more Tech videos out there but eh, you get what you get.

You are more than welcome to make some yourself. ;)

I'm busy doing the fitness thing and my presentation even being an intermediate rider wouldn't work for me.

The only problem with that... Is that I'm a horrible nooblet rider with zero technique to share with the world. That's why i wanted you to make more videos... Lol.

I know what you mean... add that to my current 2-4 hundred pounds... and I would likely have to raise the pressure in my tires. Again.
