Yes sir, we are. Day three and this is the heaviest/most consistent so far. Every major freeway here has multi-car accidents with all lanes blocked. Dumbasses here do not know how to drive in the rain.

That's for sure. So many of them are from points east where they drove in REAL weather that they feel it's incumbent upon them to Show US How.
And a show it is.

Spring bloom? Heck we gotta small Fall wildflower bloom going on down here and it's greening up fast. The Verdugos have some flowers and so do the San Gabes.

Yes I can confirm Hawg's statement. Especially the wild buckwheat in Florida canyon here. The bees are right on it!

My schedule and the weather can't seem to get coordinated. When I have free time it's bad conditions for the trail.
Which reminds me that I need to charge my lights to have a better chance for a ride since it gets dark around 5:30 now.

Tree next to the bridge tipped over making a wildly exaggerated feature so I rolled the bike up it and did a fake splat on the other side.
Some red dye would be spectacular :D

That would be a good prank. Nice shots Sti & Mini.

I’m still sick. It’s been a month. Went to the doctor two days ago for the second time. This time she put me on Amoxicillin which is an anibiotic for a sinus infection. I’ve only been on it for two days and already feel like it’s helping. Wish me luck. I don’t know why she didn’t do this for me two weeks ago on my first visit. I’ve been miserable.

DJ, your'e too young to be gettin' sick like this. Take some CQ10 everyday with your meals and find yourself an acupuncturist who doesn't charge an arm and a leg. Most of the s'pensive ones are crap when it comes to clinical results, anyway.

Great pics everyone, and that snow!!!

DJ, as others have suggested here, alcohol can purify the system.

I recommend Jack Daniels, myself, strictly for medicinal purposes. ;)

I got out there today. We rode up in the High Desert (Palmdale). The trail system is called P-12. Really fun and really fast. Loved it, will return.

19.58 miles
2598'
1508 calories

Here's two of my riding buds.

Good stuff boys and thanks for the clinical advice. This Amoxicillin is doing it’s job, finally some light at the end of the tunnel.

Hawg, are you in a bike club? The jerseys.

I’ll just throw this out there for lack of another thread to place it in. I’m sure Hawg and Ray have heard about this. It’s one of Hawgs local kitty cats.

P-64 found dead.

Bike splat! (Not mine)
Trial comes from upper left. Looks like front tire washed out. Leaves turned up on the right are where rider continued sans bike. A less hurried set of prints show where he looped back to get the bike.

These are funny when they’re not mine

Snow was weird today. I took the Flux on studded skinnies expecting plate ice. Plenty of fat bike traffic there but everyone runs the real aggressive tread and chews up the base. Reminds me of old school snomo tracks versus newer machines. Used to ride sled trails on regular tires. Trails were packed down hard. New sleds tear the base all up. Seldom firm

No bugs - check. But there are more people on the trails because the daylight hours are so short now.

Wow, thanks for sharing that DJ. I hadn't herd the sad news but I am familiar with the cat. Stress probably finished him off.

The club is "imtbtrails.com". It's mostly L.A./O.C. (So Cal) riders but we have a few as far South as Oceanside and as far North as Washington.

That's a shame, guys. My primitive shamanic-magical-thinking side views them as them spirit animals, messengers to heaven for us. Certain coyotes, too.

Sounds like quite a club you have there,
Hawg. That's good for you, especially as you get older.

Any of you guys have any experience with funky bars? My wrists and thumbs aren’t getting along well with straight bars. Especially in cold weather. I thought I’d pick up a set for the fatty to try out. Something with some sweep
