Just put a payment down for this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/281580927858?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

Which means i'm going to be back in the Maverick game very soon! My ML7 finally gets a successor after 2.5 years, and it's the ML8 too!

Sighting a Maverick out on the trails here is like spotting a rare bird.
That said, last month up on Mt. Laguna I had a double-Maverick sighting, and the guys riding them seemed to be very happy, indeed.

Ray, a double Maverick sighting" .. You may have witnesses the entire San Diego Maverick population in one day. ;)

IIRC, your old pal Aquaholic had one for a spell.

Did he really, he's had so many bikes I've lost track. I know he ran a Maverick DUC-32 fork on a Turner for awhile. I've never seen a Maverick bike on the trails but plenty of Maverick forks running about.

I might be wrong about the frame, but I do remember the fork, as even the forks were pretty rare to see. That makes my sighting of two complete Maverick bikes even more rare, I guess.

Even more now since I spent a bit of time cleaning it and putting cockpit spray on it.

I'll make a few more pics soon.

^^^Nice. You don't see too many shock boots around these days, either.
I used to run them on all my air shocks, as well as my forks, but I got tired of endlessly adjusting them.

When I recieved the bike, that gaiter was full of dirt and grease, and I had a few dirty towels from cleaning the ML8 so I thought: hey, I could run the Asko on a 75 degree cotton cycle for once and see if it gets clean that way.

It ended up looking great again.

Oh wow, look what I found on The Other Half/Emtpybeer:
https://archive.is/FU1VY

"Go eBay, brother. There is somebody in another corner of the globe that is dying for your Maverick."

That was late 2013, and it's now 2015, and I finally got a Maverick again.

I actually really liked that Zachariah guy on EB, he doesn't go apeshit compared to the other blatantly autistic mods on CirclejerkReview.
