We need some lolz for the engineers among us (I am not saying I am one) since some of them (no names mentioned;) show worrying signs of a total absence of humor for anything mechanical engineering.

How about starting with this brilliant extreme torque / extreme speed idea? ;) This novelty BMX machine can be yours for only $250 + shipping.

Speaking of cranks, how about "two speed cranks - extreme torque and extreme speed"?

Lol that inventor is amazing.

Riding a bike facing forward is boring. Or at least, so says Michael Killian, the software engineer who decided that what the world needs is a sideways bicycle that uses the same body movements as a snowboard. It has a unicycle seat and little handlebars on either side. It’s not for everyone – Killian says only 6 out of 10 people are able to master it.

Just by looking at his shirt, I can tell he is among the 4 out of 10 since he crashes on his belly a lot!

^ thanks! Not a lot of info out on them

Here's a video from my first ride. Had to wait for like 2 weeks after I bought it to even try the damn thing. They are not a quiet bike at all so you see wildlife running away

I can see it being a great thing for some people. It seems like taking your feet off the pedals when you stop could be tricky, like the spring might pull the pedal upward and rake your calf or shin.

Ha, that looks like the Chris Boardman concept bike, except not a 3D rendering:
