Thanks guys, and Happy B-day (again), Marp!

I treated myself to a new Canon camera. Now I'm caught up in the DSLR money evaporation game.

For my birthday, I took the day off work and went out to have some fun.

Watched Ex Machina at the movies.

Visited a nearby firing range and went through about 130 rounds. :D

Happy birthday, EVERYBODY!
We all have 'em avery year, but for me, my own birthday is as much of a non-event as I can possibly manage.

For my 60th, the little woman insisted of having a celebration. Phil's BBQ catered. I ate so much ribs that day that my Meniere's kicked in BIG TIME, and I was on my back from that for close to a week.
Whopee.

Sounds good. Depending on what caliber you were shooting, that could have been a 'spensive birthday gift!

I liked it for several reasons. If I tell ya, it'll give away the movie though. ;)

Nothin' wrong with that. They can be as accurate as any round out there at up to 100 yards, and what's wrong with saving money?

I missed this thread on my birthday last week, bugger! Entered my 59th year, and got my belated present yesterday when I found out I am completely clear of the illness I have been fighting for the last year! Now I just have to wait another 2 weeks for the surgery to fully heal and I am back in business :) Pity I am away on tour for 5 weeks...

It's looking like I'll be taking one of my two riding buddies for an epic birthday ride this Sunday, Norton. He's 20 years' my junior, but I still put the hurts to him.

Today we went out to the Otay lakes/Proctor Valley area, again in search of the mythical passage in the small mountains north of the lake to the lake itself.

No luck again, but in a remote draw, I spotted the first deer that I have seen in the Otay lake arear..ever..that's in over 55 years' worth of kickin' around out there. Just before that, I found a mountain lion print in some mud near a puddle by the side of a trail.

So there we go. Predator, and prey, a nice neat package.

Here's to birthday rides, or their equivalents, for everyone.

I think we need to get an "old timers" ride together somewhere some time... before we get dusty :)

Net, I'm honored. Who else could get a personal birthday song from Lana.

btw, I like how she hits those "low notes". ;)
