Found it on the interwebs series of tubes thing in the googles, whilst looking for evidence of the f88me lifeboat thing of myth and legend to kill some downtime boredom.

Definitely not a bot, but with my physique, I could easily be mistaken for spam.

Ha, I never really fully understood what happened to that place.

I sort of went off grid (still sort of off grid I guess) a few years ago and the next time I tried to visit that place it was gone.

Kind of a bit of Stockholm Syndrome I think perhaps, but it made me a bit sad to not be able to interact with that group of retarts anymore.

I remember hearing that someone (disgruntled member, maybe?) noticed the domain renewal lapsed and they snagged it and shut it down. Personally, I recall the influx of f88me members on all the other biking sites because they were causing a bit of mayhem wherever they went. Lol...

That doesn't surprise me too much. I chatted via PM with one of the F88 folks (Mountain Girl) over on EB about 2 years or so ago and she mentioned that most of the regulars still keep in touch via facebook. I've never had a facebook account (and don't intend to ) however, so that's as far as it ever went for me.

Personally, I think having a f88 style "PoSER" forum is a good idea for any forum style website (like EB, this one, etc.) as it allows a place for people to blow off steam, express obnoxious opinions, get offended by other's obnoxious opinions, etc., in one place and goes a long way towards minimizing all that noise in all the other more relevant sections of the website. Nothing worse than trying to have a conversation about tires or drivetrain or something, and have it devolve into "President So and So is a Nazi..."

I actually assumed you might have been one of the folks from F88me.com when I saw your avatar here as that same picture was used by somebody over there if my memory serves correctly. I can't remember which member that was however as it's probably been like 4 or 5 years or so since I last visited that place.

I had an account over there (probably with the same avatar). But, didn't use it much...

Also, if you hadn't found it already, go back to the forum index and scroll (way) down to the Registered Members area and take a peek in the Litter Box. ;)

Hi Folks,

I found the forum looking for information on how to tune and troubleshoot a Fox RP23 shock that was giving me fits. The "
Fox RP23 IFP Service (adding a Schrader valve!)" topic got me on my feet and introduced me to a collection of info I did not know about.

Welcome Dodgysam!
