Riding it out of the question for this senior citizen.

11 months later :titez:
Got my fatty frame back! Had it updated to 12mm thru-axle and frozen seatpost removed. Waiting on parts to complete the rebuild. Mendon did the wheelset for me way back in February.

Builder claimed his lady was having problems so I didn’t even communicate with him for 2 months. Then one thing led to another and poof, time wasted. I gave up on it about 4 weeks back and just last weekend I was hours away from placing the order for a new bike, then he said it was ready.

I have nothing to prove or disprove his story. All to be forgotten once I’m riding again. Seems like a nice enough guy. Sent the bike back to me without billing me up front so he’s doing what he can to make amends. I’ll do the same. Work looks good

I can definitely believe that reason. Builder exonerated in my book!

Agreed. As soon as he said that I just backed off. Feel lucky not to be the guy watching his lady go through a rough spot

I rode today. Did a nasty climb to the top of my local mountain, Mt. Lukens. 5.5 miles to get there with 2692' of elevation gain makes out to be 489' of upness per mile. OUCH. Dropped in on some fun ST on the way back down. Saw a few groups of riders out today hitting what was a local secret ST.

10.63 miles
2700' elevation gain
1063 calories

VIDEO!!!

Helluva climb you got in yer back yard, there, Hawg.
How are the temps out your way?

Oh, yeah, and try not to sweat the secret ST getting outed. I made a big fuss back in the day directed at one dum-dum for posting on eb about how he "found the Tunnels trails." Within 2 months those trails were crawling with riders from all over the county. Looked like lines of Argentine ants on most weekends.

It's cooled down up here quite nicely.

I got out again after work today. I brought my Easter Egg with me since I was finishing up near a riding trail. It was just a quickie of about 4.5 miles and 1100' elevation gain.

DEM LEAVES IS SLIPPERY!!! :o :o :o

^ I’ve had to adjust to that myself. What gets me is I had always ridden dirty trails yet lost 2 rear dirs in a season on clean ones. Imsofakinglucky

I hadnt ridden in about a week which is shamefull. I was craming my responsibilites so that I could create several days off for this high desert trip we are ending today. We only rode time but it was a good one. We did the Geology Tour Road loop, a 17+ mile back road lollipop ride in Joshua Tree National Park.

I’m just glad he included some Joshua Trees for us. ;) Love em, looks like an awesome trip Hawg. I woke up to 6” of fresh snow. Our first traceable dump of the year. It’s going into the 50’s in the next couple of days so it will all be gone in exchange for some mud by Friday.

Did the La Tuna/Whiting Woods loop this afternoon. Been avoiding it since the fire this past Summer but the fire road climb up is nice now. The stench is still there though.

Relive places the pics all out of sort, lol.
