I didn't go with PLUS tires on my TJ just to be a koolaid drinker. I was looking for a little more cushion because my bones and joints ache.

Korn, is that a 29er wheel on a 27.5 fork?

I ran the tail light in blinking mode through the clouds on the upper reaches of the mountain today. And sure enough I heard over and over "Quick, hide the chit man, the cops are coming!". There is commonly a few gang-bangers up there.

At least you didn’t get rear ended, after all, that’s the important part.

Click on it.

 Nice job Korn!

The light is a Cherry Bomb. It has multiple blinking cycles within a cycle. It's freakin' BRIGHT and it shouldn't be street legal.

I find it odd that your Reba is so tight around that tire. Are you sure that somebody didn't give you the shaft when you bought that fork? I have a Reba of that era and a 2.3 tire fits in it with enough space for a lot more.

I think it's a 2011 Reba. I started a thread here for help with servicing it a while back. Definitely a 29'er.

That tire is the 2.5" DHF WT, so I'm not surprised it's tight.

Your time is gonna come...

I have a feeling it won't be too long before all that turns to mud, for a few months at least, then it'll be hot and dry.

It keeps snowing here. Last Sunday it snowed all day but didn’t accumulate. It was melting on sidewalks and drives, melting as it landed. The snow we got before just sits there getting soggy. Pisser

It's out West and it ain't goin' nowhere. Wait, I can hear a subtle echo on the wind. It keeps saying "Come out to the West Sti, come out to the West". :eusa-whistle:

Like Jim Morrison once said, "The West is the best".

Hucking Kitty Fest???

I'm thinking it'll be raining and muddy here in a month or two, I'll have to look for dry dirt somewhere!

Extended hike a bike session this morning. Extended because I couldn’t find a bailout point and I’m to stubborn to turn back

I saw a NOAA radar map of storms moving across the US. Looked like a giant phallus heading straight into the NorEast, lol!

Sorry guys :|

This wasn’t a ride but seeing how snow is currently the topic I thought I’d share it here.

I went up to 8,500 ft. There was zero snow on the ground and then it started to thunder and lightening. All of a sudden it starts snowing, but this is not a normal snow. It’s a rare weather occurrence called popcorn snow. So strange was it, that I had to film it. Totally dry snow that is very compact-able . It even squeaks as you compact it. No water comes out and my hand was dry. Really weird stuff.

DJ, ^ To me, it looks like Grauple.
IIRC - :ugeek:
Caused by a warm trapped upper air mass.
Happens when snow falls from above, hits the warm air, melts, and then on it's way down re-freezes into dry styrofoam balls.

This is known as a very unstable snow pack layer, referred to as a ball-bearing surface, and causes fast running avalanches.

Good call, that’s exactly what it is. My brother in law is a storm chaser hobbyist. Coincidentally he said the same thing today.

Here’s another video I took of it with a little less vehicle background noise. You can hear the popping sound better in this one.

Really cool stuff, zero moisture content.

Turn your volume up. ;)

I am just home from Spring Break in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

I got 4 rides in, 3 in Havasu, 1 in Kingman with Katz.

Mrs. Hawgzilla did two roadie rides, too!

Most enjoyable... 8-)

Good stuff Hawg. Good to hear Katz is still kicking. Tell him I said hi. Also, nice to hear the wifey got in some action, that’s unusual. ;)

What kind of lizard?
Nice size Largemouth Bass.

The lizard is a Desert Iguana and unbelievably, especially to me, I caught it by hand.
