Good stuff Hawg. Good to hear Katz is still kicking. Tell him I said hi. Also, nice to hear the wifey got in some action, that’s unusual. ;)

What kind of lizard?
Nice size Largemouth Bass.

The lizard is a Desert Iguana and unbelievably, especially to me, I caught it by hand.

I thought it had an Iguana look to it. Never realized there was such a lizard species local our deserts.

I hit Cherry Canyon this afternoon for 13.33 miles and 2096' of elevation gain. Hero dirt here. It rained for the past handful of days. Greening up rapidly.

I'd be lucky if I got 96' of climbing in any one ride! It's greening up here, but not like it does out there in SoCal.

Oh man what a difference crisp and precise shifting makes, just a little tap on the shifter and I'm in a different gear! I've been fighting with my drivetrain that has never really been that great, I couldn't figure out why it wasn't shifting like bikes in the mech adjustment videos, then I saw it; a bad chainline! So I bought this cheap tiny 28t 6mm offset steel SRAM direct-mount narrow-wide gloss black chain ring and it pretty much fixed it!

Thanks Sti, right back at ya!

I was gonna ask you about your chainring, but I found the info in another thread. And then I was gonna ask about something else, but I didn't need to because I could just see it in your ginormous pics. ;)

Thanks MiniT!

She was a little self conscious about her drooping top tube, but with some tire augmentation she's getting over it!

Good to hear you finally got it dialed in. Most of all I liked your description of that chain ring.

Today is the first day in many weeks when there's no snow in my yard. Of course, snow is forecast tomorrow. :( Today, I rode.

Nice! ^

I couldn’t find a thread to post this in. It goes here as good as any other I’ve found.

Your bike is probably a better conversationalist than about 80% of the people you meet on the street. I know mine is!

Good timing because the forecast is wet on wet for the foreseeable future. Man it felt good to be on some good trail again!

Loaded the bike and drove in a blizzard to get in a ride tonight. Ten miles away my truck looked out of place. Not even a dusting at the park. Classic lake snow.

Trails are a mess from crazy high winds yesterday. Just happy to have dry trail

Guys and gals,

If you haven't noticed, the server has been moved to a new service provider (amazon AWS). Let me know if you encounter any problems.
