Rode with with some buds today out in the Malibu Canyon area. Stopped at the M.A.S.H. TV series filming site then did the dreaded Bulldog fire road hell grind. Before we reached the top, we were engulfed in heavy drizzle that soaked us and made the sandy dirt stick to us and our bikes. On the way back down, we detoured onto a couple of really fun ST segments and then we went back to vehicles to resupply for part two of the ride across the street. That one was all ST and it's some of the funnest around.

25+ miles
4100+'

I am spent... :greetings-waveyellow:

I messed myself up on a badly executed drop on Wednesday, no riding since. :( Still trying to figure out what went wrong - most likely a dip right ahead of the lip ate my rear wheel, my face dug a trench in the dirt a split second later.

Sorry to hear that STi. Heal up!

I almost ate it at high speed today on a sweeping turn that I went into too fast. Scared the heck out of me.

And a buddy riding elsewhere ate it really bad today. He hit a big jump at 20mph and on the landing his seat came up which pitched him OTB. Possible broken bones and he is going to need stitches.

Thank you gentlemen. Face is healed, I can turn my head again (working on full range of motion), time to get back to shape now. I rode a little last night and 11 miles this morning with a buddy - but it is HOT and HUMID out there, difficult to enjoy any extended stay outside.

Got out early to beat the extreme heat. Rode until my desire to ride was overtaken by my desire to stop rinsing my eyes out with sweat. About an hour and 20 minutes I’d had enough

Mushrooms are diggin it

“6 strong” and you all rode sideways. Consistency is important. ;)

Good to see you had a great 4th. I worked and was released an hour before my local fireworks went off. Driving by I pulled into the crowded lakeside audience filled shoreline parking lot. Just because I pass it on my way home, I’ve never been much of a fireworks crowd attender but luck would have it someone must have just left. I got a front row parking spot with 1 hour until they went off I decided to hang out. Stepped out of my truck and set up a chair on the beach. Watched the sunset and then the fireworks. People set up camp all around the lake to save their spot 48 hours in advance and I lucked out with this.

Todays ride. Sorry for the photo heavy post. This is a little loop we do. This is my local park, a mile as the crow flies from my place. Starts with a massive climb 1900' in 3.5 miles. But once you get to the ridge, there are views galore overlooking the ocean.
