Am I really the only European regular here, counting out Sti who's an ex-european?

Not exactly. My Mom's side of the family has all kinds of European in them. I did the Ancestry DNA thing recently. Aside from my Native American half, I'm also Brittish, Slavic, Russian, and even a little tidbit of Jewish.

Sorry to hear.
Side note: mentally, I will never be American. I am happy here but I will always be different.

But you seem fairly assimilated, contrary to Sti, who's sparing no option to point out that he's not American?

Magura :)

Narrow-wide pulley wheel in aluminum.
It's a drop in replacement in a Dura Ace 7700 derailleur.
The bearings they ship are a joke. OPEN bearings, as in no...noooo, no seal at all.
The machining is fairly good though, so I pressed in a proper bearing.
Test ride tomorrow.

Magura :)

The frame is new. Yes, it is a Hightower, but with 27.5 wheels and longer shock. Low and fun!

Hightower LT, I take it?

So you've jumped onto the SC bus, huh? SC bikes are extremely popular out here in So Cal, and if you live in Orange County (I do not), you're nobody if you don't ride one, lol!

I like the Hightower. The short travel/29er model in this color scheme is one I'd be happy owning. A whole bunch of my buds have one and they love them.

Good going!

I have two of them myself. Great bikes, but I just can't afford them anymore.

What, do you have to pay alimony to them or something like that?

You know what they say about alimony don't you? It's like making payments on a new car you just totaled.

Not my first SC, my first FS bike was a Nickel six years ago. This is the original HT, not the HT LT. Thanks to the small wheels, I have plenty of clearance for 150mm of travel. Bike rips and jumps like a goat on steroids, and is wicked low with BB height of 12.75".

Sweet ride Sti. I like your twist on it. Changing out the wheel size set and a longer shock. Something SC should have done as an option.
