I understand your frustration. Nothing worse than a noise you can’t pinpoint. If this doesn’t fix it my friend, I’m afraid you may be up a creek without a paddle.

These days it's rare that I get positively surprised, about the quality of anything, and especially tools, that seem to develop into junk from even the best brands, counting out a select few, no more than you'd be able to count on a retired carpenters right hand.

Now Shimano seems to have, to my great surprise, just kept on manufacturing a few tools the way they alway were made.
The perhaps most outstanding example is their chain tool.
I swear it even looks like the handles are still made of rosewood
The rest is a toolmaker worthy, simply amazing quality.
The Park Tool $100 CT-4.3 looks pretty measly in comparison.

Now for the real surprise: It's a $35 tool and readily available.
The product code is: TL-CN32
Pay attention they have different versions for over 10S.

Magura :)

Yeah I know, quoting myself,

I figured that it was in fact a special offer, for whatever reason it's 50% off.
The new model is probably just as functional, but the old one is simply in a different league.
I just ordered a spare, as that kind of tools are sure a thing of the past.

I believe even for the the U.S. shipping wouldn't be a deal breaker.

Some $33 plus shipping.

I installed some blingy cranks on my FEX today but they do not get along with my OneUp pedals so I am looking for recommendations on platform/flat pedals.

The OneUps are awesome but they are designed to be tucked tight up against the crank arm and that just doesn't work. The CB Stamp series pedals are one that I am considering.

I'm gonna go down to my LBS tomorrow to see what they have. I've also got a few shops in Pasadena to check, including Incycle.

I've been using them for a long time and they have been trouble free for me. I have them on five of my bikes.

I went to 4 bike shops today and didn't find squat. Everyone is out of the right model in the right color so I went online and ordered a pair of DMR V12 Mag pedals.
