Glad you both had great times. I'll try to be at Highland on Sunday, txt me with a time... Just did Kingdom not this Sat but last. Had a ripping good time, 27 miles worth. It started with rain and drizzle, but cleared throughout the day and made a non-technical ride, highly technical with the wet roots and muddy high speed corners.
We even spooked a bambi up on FarmJunk

Can't wait to get back up there

Great pics Joe, I have to ride there sooner than later.

Another NEMBA ride in the Fells tonight, 6PM at the Bear Hill parking lot. It is going to be a hot one, 89F and a chance of thunderstorms (a.k.a. humidity from hell).

I saw that, some of the best shots I've seen of Highland. I might even purchase Rad Company.

I plan to ride in the Fells later in the afternoon, and we will hit the Highland tomorrow. Life is good!

You should have ridden Tecumseh, the hike is fairly easy IIRC. ;) Have fun tomorrow Joe!

I had a mixed day at Highland, I did not crash but Hana had a massive OTB digger. She braved it, but now half of her lower body is all black and blue. I hope it won't dampen her enthusiasm too much.
I am pissed at myself that I suck so much. It looks like I am not really capable of riding much more than the Easy rider, gotta figure out how to jump or I will be grounded forever.

Oh and Vice Grips knows someone with a smoking deal on a medium Pivot Mach 6. That would be a great bike for you Joe! ;)

oh NOO!
Hope she heals up and isn't too shaken up. :(
You should really get some personal instruction from the guys up there if you are struggling. Hook up with Chris, he's our age, bald. Really great down to earth guy, I don't think it's that expensive either, a hell of a lot cheaper than that sweet bike you bought just for Highland...
Wish I could swing a new bike, but the current fleet is still treating me great and I can't justify an upgrade that wouldn't really be an upgrade.
Have you seen this??

Hehe all I know is that Cat's paw is entirely different this year, and very intimidating.

Yeah, they stepped it up this year. I love the new tops and the flow line through the mid section, you can really rip now. And it's nice to see that they are maintaining it too, the braking bumps were getting really really bad, but they filled them in well.

Today was great for riding, overcast and not too hot. They finally opened Meadow's End and it is fantastic, steep chunky sections and medium sized berms make me a happy camper! :D

Ouch! I am glad you are safe. That looks like some body work is to be done, too.

Yeah... I can just do what I can to that part, 194k on the dial, I'm not too worried about cosmetics at this point, but I would love to get another 50k out of it if possible.

Thanks, we are fine, no injuries. I was doing 45 and managed to swerve and probably bring the speed down to 25 by the last moment I saw that face two feet in front of me. Windscreen has been replaced and the side view glass is on its way, so everything is good.
