My kind of thread!

It is currently 21 in rochester and I'm not in town to enjoy the heatwave. The temp is going to fall 30-40 degrees over the next 24hrs. I may have to break out a set of gloves.

Being in Denmark at the moment, no surprises. Windy, rainy, around 0C.
That is in fact a pretty fair guess, if claimed to be the forecast for the next 2 months.

Going back to Switzerland Monday, there the spring is slowly kicking in.
Riding weather there in less than a month.

Magura :)

I think we're expecting a high of 60*F today in N Texas. Lots of outside stuff planned with the kids. :)

They're predicting sleet/snow tomorrow night. Such fickle seasons...

Gloomy here in San Diego. But very temperate, as usual. We might finally get a bit of rain late tonight.

Daytime high's in the low 60's. Night time lows in the 50's. Not much change.
Yet another day in paradise.

Today is pleasant, highs in the upper 20s. After several days of deep freeze, this feels like a heat wave. Alas, we are getting more snow tonight, then some rain tomorrow, only to get back to deep freeze next week.

Gloomy and a bit cool in the Porn Capital of the World, the San Fernando Valley. About the same as Young Ray's weather prognosis, perhaps a degree or two cooler.

Mid 30's with chance of snow today in Northern Utah, 40's rest of the week. But lately we've been in the 50's and 60's for much of jan an feb, which are unseasonably warm temps. We haven't had any precip since late december. Snowpack is anywhere from 60-80% of normal. Its been a brutal winter. Skiing? What skiing?

DCA and take the train out. That's is the easiest trip.

Wow, looked that up on Google Maps, and everywhere is slow going on roads I 495 and all... hard to fathom road conditions being I've lived in snow free Southern California my whole life.

All you do is sit in traffic on a good day. On a bad day, well, you might as well walk. A cab to Gaithersburg is easily over 100 if you can get someone that want to drive that far. The metro trains are like 5 and are just as fast.

I have a friend that works for the FDA. He drives an hour, parks his car at one of the park and ride spots and then begins an hour long train ride. Four hour commute for an 8 hour day is sick.

I'd quit the FDA with those kind of commute hours. That kind of shit is a waste of life.

If you're going to rent a car then flying into Baltimore (BWI) is the best way to go. From BWI to Gaithersburg it's about 40 minutes.
If you prefer Metro then Reagan National with your ending Metro stop at Shady Grove (Gaithersburg).
You coming to visit?

18degF and snowing. Not sure if that's an improvement or not over yesterday's -5degF and sunny. More single digits next week.

Tell me about it. I was working only 20 minutes from home in Frederick but our lab got downsized and relocated to Bethesda main campus. My commute is over an hour each way on good days. My boss lets me have a lot of flexiblilty so I go in at 11 am and leave at 7 pm to avoid the traffic.

I like the FDA, but sometimes the FDA and the DEA go to far in trying to 'protect' the public.
Here, it looks like somebody is going too far to work for the FDA!

Almost 54° here today, so I had no excuse to not ride. Ears were a bit cold, but everything else was perfect!

glad you asked, it sucks here at the moment. The older I get the more I am disliking Sydney summers, hot humid and wet enough to make riding on our trails an expensive exercise. They are Sydney sandstone base which also means sandy, ie grinding paste when wet, think 40 grit sandpaper.

The humidty means nothing ever dries out and it doesn't really rain like tropical storm rain, we just get showers, just as things look like they are drying out, down comes another shower. Totally over it.

Tomorrow looks to be challenging. I could wait for it to "warm up" to 1F by later afternoon or just make a short ride in the morning.

I broke a sweat on a hike in the foothills near Reno today. I think the forecast was 55-60ish, but it felt a lot hotter than that. Then the clouds moved in along with some wind and made it chilly. I ended the hike at dusk with a light sweater on. I think tomorrow's high temp is supposed to be around 50, with wind. I might have to break out the arm warmers for a ride, something that I haven't done all winter.

Yo Katz! Good to see yer handle over here!

It's a pretty gloomy 63 F here. We might even get some showers. Not to worry, though. We are taking all precautions.
