Building a countertop for our mountain bike club campground. I milled the slabs from old growth redwood logs that lay around the property.

Yes. I have a special chain for milling the slabs and use my other saws to cut and trim the various pieces to fit. I freehand my cuts and I get the pieces to fit pretty tight.

Someone I worked with had one of the Alaska mills to cut logs for a cabin he wanted to build from timber on his land.

I fell a redwood at my nephew's house and we decided to make some slabs for his outside counter tops.
