F_W will get through that alright. He has figured that he needs to sort things, instead of trying to help people that don't want to change.
The rest is just work. Maybe not the most pleasant kind job, but just work.

Magura :)

Agreed Magura, FW will get through. But it's more than just a sh|tty job. It's never an easy journey when your mind tells you to go one way, and your heart another.

The other day I was leaving work and part of the commute is to go down a moderately steep hill (F_W, if you happen to know the area I'm coming down Sunnyside Ave right outside of Research Park or Immigration Canyon). I saw a dude on a skateboard heading uphill without pushing, obviously it was some sort of electric driven board. I couldn't quite figure out where the motor was but I was able to get a glimpse of a small box underneath the board. It was interesting that the apparently small motor was able to get this dude up the hill. And right behind him was some guy on a mountain bike and you guessed it, he wasn't pedaling. Birds of a feather flock together.

I have a friend who has one. The thing is lighting fast on the flats.

I bet he can really haul on that thing.

On a barely related note there's this old dude who rides what I suppose is a first generation e-bike in the same area described above. I see him all the time, he's a regular. The other day he was coming down a hill, on the sidewalk. When he got to a crosswalk he wanted to cross the street but damn, when he tried to turn left into the crosswalk he had a "front wheel tuck" (those who visit the EB general forum will know what I'm talking about). Although he didn't dump the bike he was struggling to get the damn thing upright and into the crosswalk. I honestly thought the old codger was going to inadvertently dart into traffic with disastrous results. But thankfully the motorists were mindful and even slowed down and stopped. He finally got into the crosswalk and crossed the street OK. Dude had me worried!

Yes, Mookie thanks I do remember the area. Some current videos have me itching to longboard some of Utah's canyon roads. They hit warp crazy speeds. I'd be the only old dude wearing a helmet and full leathers.

So he did a "front end tuck", almost unheard of in this day and age. ;)

Those dudes are something else. I guess there's a pretty active longboarding scene around here. There's certainly a lot of cool places to do it.

I added old timey goggles to my mental image of you bombing down a long winding canyon.

I think this topic requires more discussion. DJ, could you be a dear and bump that thread? ;)

Nice work on the bump DJ! I wonder what Nat said all those months ago?

I forgot how goofy that thread really was.

I have no idea and apparently either does he. Classic threads like that are far and few between these days.

The classic threads and humor left the EB building a long time ago. There's some cool peeps over there though.

I just read that Utah consumes more Jell-O per capita than any other state. Huh. I'll say this much, it ain't due to Jell-O shots on college campuses!

There could be. Thou shall place shredded carrots in green Jello and it will be good.

I'll second that. For some reason I think marshmallows and tangerines or oranges sometimes found their way into the green jello.

Makes me think of green jello...the band that had to change to Green Jelly.

Solar eclipse only one month away! It looks like most of the US is in the 80 -100% zone. I'm in the 90% but I'm only a few hours from 100% and some of these destinations are near epic riding. Hmmm...
