 Post subject: DIY Quick-Link Pliers

Had this tool modification idea floating around in my noggin for a bit. Today I made it happen! Found a set of coaxial cable crimpers at an estate sale for two bux. I sculpted them with a die grinder on the insides of the jaws to form the hooks, and a bench grinder on the outsides so it'd fit inside a 10-speed chain. Works perfectly!

I thought about doing the same with a Leatherman type tool I was given at some event years ago. Now I need to remember to look for it.

Yeah, those have been on my radar for a few months now. Definitely going to get them soon. I heard they are so popular they’re on back order right now.
