Here's another one of my daily drivers. Actually it's my winter bike. A 2000 Santa Cruz Chameleon. This was the model with the funky disc brake adaptor. Even though it's 18 years old, in bike years it's a classic.

They're only 2.3's. That bike has put many smiles on my face. 8-)

Damn plump 2.3 that’s for sure. I’ve regretted getting rid of every bike I’ve ever had. Lesson learned. I’m keeping them all lol

Newest of the banana bikes. Bratz lowrider from 2003. Bratz is back in the news again from the owner making an attempt to buy the failing toys r us chain.

These bikes are stupid cheap and usually rusted to hell. Chinese chrome is pathetic. When new the bikes are covered with sparkling star decals. Ghey. Underneath all that crap it’s a pretty good looking lowrider. Brakes make more noise than wet BB7s

While not my favorite bike it does have two wheels and two pedals so, I ride it. Why wouldn’t you?

Plus the price was right. Here it is the day my wife text me about seeing a bike buried in a bunch of toys set out with the trash. Only marks on it were from storage tip overs. It’s crap, not landfill crap just yet

Magura has been trying to settle down at home in Denmark, moving all his stuff from several locations in Europe, to Denmark, plus his father has been hospitalized a few weeks.
Now his father is recovering, and Magura is back in the saddle.

Aaaand tonight's special guest, please give it up for Mrs. Monty!

A Monty 219 Kamel.

My first trial bike. Old Magura rim brakes, huge brake booster for the rear, freewheel in the rear hub, really, an old school trial bike, that has taken a beating, and still does on occasion if I'm unsure the new one will survive trying.

Magura :)

Moving sucks and I’m glad your pa is on the mend. Seriously!

There is no polite way to break from that topic to your bike but it must be done.

So much win there. I’m well past the point to have one as a play bike but they have always called my name and inspired me. I looked to see if they made any of those beautiful 19” tires in a slick. I wanted one bad for the Huffy. Just that the huge sidewall is so sexy! That and the hydro rim brakes especially now that I know how poor the drum brake is.

Also dig all the wear on the bike. Looks like it was used proper and often. Killed it this week. No contest. Great bike.

Any video?

On my local cl. Been on a while so I assumed it was intentionally over priced. It’s up for sale but they don’t want to let it go

Like I said. I assumed it was over priced.
I’m not hatin on it. Not by a long shot. Maybe I just wish it’d sell so it doesn’t keep tempting me.

Just a little thread bumper. Nothing fancy but a great original paint rider and not so common bike. Rollfast built Firestone badged GTO panther. I showed this on here years ago shortly after I got it.

Seat is recovered poorly, rims and handlebars are nicely coated in rust and a rare vintage aftermarket springer sissy bar. Made the mistake of washing the bike a few years back. Still pretty ratty. Oozes character. Year is before 72. That’s as close as I can find. Rollfast serial numbers are a mystery.

Fox Tail is from a roadkill. Young vixen got tore up good right in front of me. Tail was rolling down the road with a small chunk of spine on it. Didn’t take much to finish the job. Yanked the bone out and salted it over a winter.

Does those springs have an actual function, or are they just for decorative purposes?

They work well. Too well. That’s why the recover on the seat. No front pivot so it prys the mount off the seat. Squeaks like hell and stupid heavy. I love it lol

For sure! Some of the features on these old bikes are a hoot. My Huffy has two sticks on the console. One is the gear shifter the second was a hand brake. Useless! Bike also had a fake spring on the front fork. Just an ornament that did nothing.
Not to mention sissy bars that made it hard to bail off the back forcing you to be impaled in the junk by the console shifter in front of you :laughing-rolling:
Fits nicely with the Alenax freak bikes
