I've been thinking of this ever since I got my Sprinter back in 2006. The sprinter was just a tad tall for parking garages, however, but it introduced me to the wonders of a diesel drivetrain. A fine van, right up until I got rearended , pushed up a steep embankment, and rolled over. It seemed like the Dream was dead at that point.
My life really took a turn for the crapper.

But now another vehicle is along and with it a company that converts them to accommodate 2-3 and bikes pretty easily. Seems pretty thrifty, too.
What are your guys thoughts on this?

The work stand in the rear door is a fantastic idea!

Welp, I think I will, as soon as the Recon folks start taking orders again. They're upgrading their production capacity DT being swamped with orders.
Time to wait it out.
They don't seem to even have a waiting list.

Looks sweet Ray!
Don't know enough about the Nissan vans to comment.
After two biking/camping weekends became washouts, and everything I owned got soaked, I too have been enviously eyeing these van conversions.

To avoid parking garage height encounters - this would be a second vehicle.
Best of luck, and please keep us posted.

I didn't end up buying one on account of it would cost about 15-20% of my retirement money. Now it will cost more the 20% of that money. But I think I'm gonna get it anyway. Life is too short, guys, and I don't have enough dough to last us anyway, so why not just do something that's gonna make me happy? Her, not so much. But I could be dead in five years, maybe her too. So, why not?
If worse comes to worse, which it might, at least we will have a tiny space to call our own and sleep in.

I been thinking this, and tonight I was collecting what travel bags I have that are not destroyed by mold, when another omen popped up. I'd divested myself of all my coyote pelts but one, and it was such a fine specimen that I put it away in a safe place. Too safe. I just found it tonight. I have always intended to make it a wind pennant, like my ancestors did with their wolf pelts. So Im gonna do that with this one, taken from a fine male that I actually had to finish of with my knife as the.22 pellet didn't do the job instantly, like it should have.

And right after that, I saw a box that looks a lot like a cremains cardboard box. I thought, "whose ashes could those be"? I had them all accounted for or scattered. Turned out to be the brand new Crank Bros. Mallet Enduro pedals, that I though I lost. Fine fine pedals. Puttin' them on tomorrow before I load up for the drive to Mt. Laguna.
I have a strong feeling tonight that the "nature of things" are about to reveal themselves to me. Magical Thinking at its' finest!
Stay tuned to Uncle Ray's Magical Mystery Tour!

By that train of logic, you need to hump her more, ride your bike more, and go get that RV ASAP.

As always, wise advice, Mr. Magura. Now, if I could only get her to touch other than with a punch.

I still rue the day when I taught her how to make a proper fist.
