I actually lost 28 pounds in 3 weeks. It was disconcerting! Pants are falling down, but now I've started to get some back on. I had to go in for IV fluids etc a few times as they were a little worried! On the mend now tho...

Good to hear!
It all depends what the starting point was though.
Loads of people would turn a lot easier on the eyes from loosing 28 pounds.

I am good with the loss, but it was mainly muscle mass I think... I was starting to look pale and drawn, and skin very dry. Soon as I have some strength back I am gonna try and build it back up...

The description you give is to me one of dehydration, and yes, you can gain/lose 30 # of fluid in a very short time. Just 'cause it's only h20 does not make it like nothing to worry about, and yeah, yer skin looks like you just smoked 4 packs a day for 30 years, too!. Get yer electrolytes balanced properly for YOUR system, and you will gain the mass right back.

Of course, it wouldn't hurt to hit the weights and make super good protein powder-drinks a regular part of yer diet. Run it by yer top Doc, and also ask him if you can use some creatine monohydrate in them, too. You just gotta be careful the fluid goes to the RIGHT tissues, like skeletal muscle and just the thinnest layer of sub-Q fat. Yer Doc might even want you, if you promise to pump that iron, to do a T- supplement too.

Whatever you settle on, I'm pretty sure you can pull it off, rocker....consistency in doing the right things is the trick now, mate, and I know you got that in spades. The rocker c gun show will be back in town!

heheh! I am getting weight back on, but I'm happy to keep part of it off. I hit the gym yesterday and it was pretty pathetic how weak I am! I took it easy, and now my body is rebelling. Unfortunately the temps here are only in the 40s to low 50s right now, so biking is on hold. My bones can't take that! Got some worrying blood counts that need addressing, and the oncologist is getting me in every so often for IVs to help stabilize. We shall see how that pans out! I'm about done with doctors and health matters for a while.
