We had our annual houseboat trip last week at Lake Mead again. This was our 27th consecutive year. We decided to try a shorter trip this year, 2 days on the boat instead of 3. Temps were 95-105 in dry air, light breezes. The topwater fishing was pretty damned good, I had several stripers, largemouth, and smallmouth bass all on the Spook.

Nice. Did someone loose a boat?

It's been there for a long time. I imagine that there are many sunken boats out of sight in deeper waters there.

Thanks Sti, I dig the looks of your riding areas as well.

The wild flowers are going bonkers on my local mtn. I haven't been feeling well lately, barely ridden at all in the past few weeks. Yesterday, I did a fire road tour to try to get back into "the zone".

Love the Lupines. It was a late/great wildflower season here also, with our "Miracle March", we got half of our rainfall for the season.

Letchworth branch of the Finger Lakes trail open to bikes again for the season. Still sloppy in some sections

Great pics, thanks for sharing the stoke!
Trails here too wet to ride.
And, Hawg - appreciate you finding my long lost boat.

Oh man, i saw these photos and I clicked to respond telling you I immediately recognized it as Letchworth. Then saw what you wrote. So many memories there in my youth. Love it when you post up photos of the Gorge.

I had some images on my camera but didn't load them. Just loaded the 2 from my cell.

One I did have you in mind when I took it

scared it up the tree after I came up on it too fast

Used to be Letchworth was the only place you saw these. Now they're all over the area. Even have a pretty good size roost right near me.

Turned out the lens I brought didn't have enough zoom for most of the shots I took. Have to bring the wife's cam next time. Easier to carry than mine and has plenty of zoom

I’m assuming it was the Raccoon [with the human like hands] sighting that put me on your radar. ;)

Great shots, keep em’ coming.

BIG cool down here for the weekend so I got out both days.

Saturday I rode a "local secret" (that's not so secret anymore!). It has a brutal climb up the San Gabes front range that is steep in deep loose, gravel much of the way. I climbed well but I was a bit nervous since the dirt on the ST was loose on the way back down. 6.99 miles. 1985' of upness.

On Sunday, I did another front range ride (with one of my buds) up and then back down one of my local favs, Monroe Truck Trail. As always, it was fabulous, 8.5+ miles of nearly continuous grinding up the mountain and then all the same coming back down at high speed. 17.34 miles, 2657' of upness.

Working today but tomorrow I am going to do one work stop and then ride somewhere in that direction immediately afterward.
