The shuttle services have been closed down.

We did a two vehicle self-shuttle. One parked at the end of the ride and the other up at the starting point. It was kind of scary to leave our vehicles there because the parking lot where I had originally planned to park had piles of window glass from three different break-ins. I left my vehicle parked up on the hwy in plain view.

So, how did that work out for you?

Nothing happened to either of our vehicles. There was a lot of people around so it wasn't like my vehicle would be secluded or alone. The other vehicle, parked at the ride start was alone on a very secluded road. But typical car burglars wouldn't know about that road. The drive back up took about 20 minutes. The drive back down to took about 30 mins because there was an idiot in front of us in a Tesla Model S who wouldn't drive above 30-35mph the whole way down the mountain. The prick wouldn't pull over in the turn-outs to let the ever growing long line of cars behind pass, either.

Typical clueless yahoo’s driving curvy mountain roads. I deal with it almost daily.

Banning myself from the MTB in this crisis. If something small goes wrong that requires medical attention it’s a drain on resources and front line exposure in a hospital

Just not worth it. Stay safe gentlemen. Consider the additional consequences. Having sat in ER with a dislocated shoulder for two hours before I know I don’t want to try for 6 hours or more with that agony

I respect your decision MT.

I will continue to ride, at least into Saturday. On Saturday, we will be doing a ride with such extreme exposure that if I were to crash, there would be a need only for "recovery" services.

It’s a very personal decision that can impact many others.

I just heard of an outbreak on an aircraft carrier. Those guys have nowhere to go. I mean how the hell can you be antisocial in such close quarters?

Wow. I'm lucky to be in the woods where there's not a lot of people. Shelter in place is normal for us "Hillbilly's". I hope all the Kitty's out there are doing ok and staying healthy. 8-)

They get a pass. It’s the Yahoos that get me blood a boiling.

Mini, I respect your decision as well. I’ll continue to ride but will be riding with less abandon.

Gentleman, do your part to protect yourselves and the one's you are closest to. One of my clients has just tested positive. I have not been to their home in a few weeks and he was not there the last time I was. Obviously, I won't be going back there for a bit. But it's getting scary going out to places that are necessary, like grocery stores. Several folks in my immediate community have tested positive according to the local news reports.

Boss had his dad test positive. Boss had been doing everything he could out of concern for passing it to his dad only to find out he had it.
Working from home now. I’m set up good computer wise but the computer desk is an old thing my son had when he was like 5. Not very comfortable. Luckily we decided on a laptop last PC change so I can move around the house when I get uncomfortable.
Worked in the office every day this week watching attendance fall. Finally I requested to work from home rather than wait for the offer. See how it goes

Wake up call when it hits close.
The missus works at Costco plus reps for several companies. Scares me thinking what she could be in contact with.

I’m wondering as some others are if I didn’t already have it back in December. Knocked me on my ass for the month

I wonder that as well because all three of us at home got hit with something that knocked us on our butts for a couple of days a month or two back. No fevers and it is thought to have been laryngitis since all of us lost our voices but none of us have been feeling 100% ever since. I have good days and bad. We can all take deep breaths and hold it and none of us have a fever. Seasonal allergies are likely playing a part, too. I've been getting odd headaches and I've been achy but Tylenol helps with that. And we've all been really tired for a long time. I'm sure that all of the distress is also taking it's toll. Scary stuff! :(

My friends are trying to plan a small group ride for tomorrow but I think I am going to ride a lone from here on out until things settle down. I hate the thought of that!

I have a buddy who got really sick last December. Ended up giving it to his wife and they were down for almost a month. I'm wondering if it's been around a lot longer.

TOTALLY SCREWED!!!

All access to any dirt in the City of Los Angeles is off limits. Hell, I can't even ride the fire roads. Ventura County has not yet gone to this extent but it's thought that it soon will so all that fun stuff out there will soon also be off limits. the NFS should follow suit as well very soon.

I've just now officially become a roadie! :x  :(

Time to dust the spider webs off of the Kona...

Saw it coming. Colorado is on lock down as well, I’m sure it’s not much longer before we get this little trick pulled on us as well.

I think the city of San Diego was the first to do this, I'm thinking the same thing about my own self-made "roadie". I'd like to throw some 35c tires on it, but I think that's a no-go. Gonna stick to the Conti Gatorskins in 25c and be VERY careful in America's Most Potholed City...............

I’m in a lockdown state. Our open spaces are still open. I fear not for long though. I usually hold off for week day riding to avoid the crowds. Today I had off and with perfect weather at 58° the dirt called. Get it while I can, right?

The parking lot holds 54 vehicles and 8 horse trailers. When I got there at 12:45 it was one car in one car out with a line of 8 cars deep behind me. The dirt road is narrow. No waiting on the shoulder. The ranger made us turn around and keep coming back in to check. I was at the front of the line and I was next in and he made me [all of us] turn around. I drove back down the road out of sight then went right back after seeing a car pass me going out. But before I could turn around another car came in. In that person went and there I was stopped again at the gate. The ranger recognized what had just happened and let me in past the gate to wait for the next out. Crazy busy.

Even with that many people out, once I got a mile into the ride and going uphill through the pines there was hardly any other interaction. Awesome day out there and I got in 10 miles of perfect dirt conditions. When I returned back to the trailhead there was several spots left. I counted 48 vehicles and one horse trailer at that time. No more one in one out.

Coming into the trailhead with 8 cars pissed off behind me at what they see. After this script the sign says, “keep our open spaces, open”.

I 3'rd the above two guy's sentiments, DJ. Be careful, everyone. I've taken to riding in the dark, on the road, with bookoo lights all around me. The homeless got evicted 3 days ago from their encampments in Florida Canyon. Last night, I could make out camps in the same spots, maybe more.
For some reason, they don't wanna go to the shelters

Many of the homeless don't want to be contained. They enjoy the freedom of being outdoors. They don't want any help.
